I. The Revelation of Jesus Christ Rev 1:1
A. which God gave Him to show His servants--
1. Things which must shortly take place.
B. And He sent
C. and signified it by His angel
1. to His servant John,
D. Who bore witness Rev 1:2
1. to the word of God,
2. and to the testimony of Jesus Christ
3. to all things that he saw.
E. Blessed is he Rev 1:3
1. who reads
2. and those who hear
a. the words of this prophecy,
3. and keep those things which are written in it
a. for the time is near.
II. John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Rev 1:4
A. Grace to you
B. And peace from Him
1. Who is
2. and Who was
3. and who is to come
4. And from the seven Spirits who are before His throne
5. And from Jesus Christ Rev 1:5
a. The faithful witness,
b. The firstborn from the dead,
c. And the ruler over the kings of the earth.
C. To Him
1. Who loved us
2. And washed us from our sins
a. In His own blood
3. and has made us Rev 1:6
a. kings
b. And priests to His
(1) God
(2) And Father
D. To Him
1. be glory
2. and dominion
a. forever
b. and ever
c. Amen
E. Behold, He is coming with clouds Rev 1:7
1. every eye will see Him
a. even they who pierced Him
2. And all the tribes of the earth
a. will mourn because of Him
3. Even so, Amen

G. Says the Lord,

1. brother

a. in the tribulation

c. and in the patience of Jesus Christ
3. was on the island that is called Patmos
a. for the word of God
b. and for the testimony of Jesus Christ
I. I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day Rev 1:10
1. and I heard behind me
a. a loud voice, as of a trumpet
(1) saying, Rev 1:11
(a) I am
i) the Alpha
ii) and the Omega
iii) the First
iv) and the Last,
(b) and, What you see,
i) write in a book
ii) send it to the seven churches which are in Asia:
a) to Ephesus
b) to Smyrna
c) to Pergamos
d) to Thyatira
e) to Sardis
f) to Philadelphia
g) and to Laodicea
2. Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me Rev 1:12
a. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands,
(1) and in the midst of the seven lampstands Rev 1:13
(a) One like the Son of Man
i) clothed with a garment down to the feet
ii) girded about the chest with a golden band.
iii) His head and hair
a) were white like wool Rev 1:14
b) as white as snow
iv) and His eyes like a flame of fire;
v) His feet were like a fine brass, Rev 1:15
a) as if refined in a furnace
vi) And His voice as the sound of many waters;
vii) He had in His right hand seven stars, Rev 1:16
viii) Out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword,
ix) and His contenance was like the sun shining in its strength.
3. And when I saw Him Rev 1:17
a. I fell at His feet as dead.
b. But He laid His right hand on me
c. saying to me,
(1) Do not be afraid;
(a) I am
i) the First
ii) and the Last.
(b) I am He Rev 1:18
i) who lives
ii) and was dead
iii) and behold, I am alive forever more.
iv) Amen
v) And I have the keys of
a) Hades
b) and of death
(2) Write Rev 1:19
(a) the things which you have seen,
(b) and the things which are,
(c) and the things which will take place after this.
(3) The mystery Rev 1:20
(a) of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand,
(b) and the seven golden lampstands:
(c) The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches,
(d) and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.
III. To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, Rev 2:1
A. These things says He
1. who holds the seven stars in His right hand,
2. who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands:
3. I know Rev 2:2
a. your works,
b. your labor
c. your patience
d. and that you cannot bear those who are evil.
e. And you have tested those who say they are apostles
(1) and are not,
(2) and have found them liars;
f. and you Rev 2:3
(1) have persevered
(2) and have patience
(3) and have labored for My name's sake
(4) and have not become weary.
g. Nevertheless I have this against you Rev 2:4
(1) that you have left your first love.
h. Remember therefore from where you have fallen Rev 2:5
(1) repent
(2) and do the first works
i. or else I will
(1) come to you quickly
(2) and remove your lampstande from its place --
(3) unless you repent.
j. But this you have Rev 2:6
(1) that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans
(a) which I also hate.
4. He who has an ear Rev 2:7
a. let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
(1) To him who overcomes
(a) I will give to eat from the tree of life,
i) which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.
IV. And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, Rev 2:8
A. These things says
1. the First
2. and the Last
3. who was dead
4. and came to life:
B. I know Rev 2:9
1. your works
2. tribulation
3. and poverty (but you are rich)
C. And I know
1. the blasphemy of those
a. who say they are Jews
b. and are not,
c. but are a synagogue of Satan.
D. Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Rev 2:10
1. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison,
a. that you may be tested
b. and you will have tribulation ten days
c. be faithful until death,
d. and I will give you the crown of life.
V. He who has an ear Rev 2:11
A. let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
B. he who overcomes, shall not be hurt by the second death.
VI. And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write, Rev 2:12
A. These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword:
1. I know Rev 2:13
a. your works
b. and where you dwell
c. where Satan's throne is.
d. And you hold fast to My name,
e. and did not deny My faith
(1) even in the days in which Antipas
(a) was my faithful martyr,
(b) was killed among you
(c) where Satan dwells.
2. But, I have a few things against you, Rev 2:14
a. because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam
(1) who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel,
(2) to eat things sacrificed to idols
(3) and to commit sexual immorality.
b. Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. Rev 2:15
3. Repent, or else Rev 2:16
a. I will come to you quickly
b. and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth
VII. He who has an ear Rev 2:17
A. let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
1. To him who overcomes
a. I will give some of the hidden manna to eat.
b. And I will give him a white stone,
(1) And on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.
VIII.And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, Rev 2:18
A. These things says the Son of God,
a. who has eyes like a flame of fire,
b. and His feet like fine brass:
1. I know Rev 2:19
a. your works
b. love
c. service
d. faith
e. and your patience
f. and as for your works, the last are more than the first.
2. Nevertheless I have a few things against you Rev 2:20
a. because you allow that woman Jesebel
(1) who calls herself a prophetess,
(2) to teach and seduce
(3) My servants to
(a) commit sexual immorality
(b) and eat things sacrificed to idols
b. And I gave her time to repent Rev 2:21
(1) of her sexual immorality,
(2) and she did not repent
c. Indeed I will Rev 2:22
(1) cast her into a sickbed,
(2) and those who commit adultery with her
(a) into great tribulation,
(b) unless they repent of their deeds.
d. I will kill her children with death, Rev 2:23
e. and all the churches shall know
(1) that I am He who searches
(a) the minds
(b) and hearts.
f. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.
3. Now to you I say, Rev 2:24
a. and to the rest in Thyatira
b. as many as do not have this doctrine,
c. who have not known the depths of Satan,
d. as they say, I will put on you no other burden.
e. But hold fast what you have till I come. Rev 2:25
f. And he Rev 2:26
(1) who overcomes
(2) and keeps My works until the end,
(3) to him I will give power over the nations --
g. He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potters vessels'-- Rev 2:27
(a) as I also have received from My Father;
(b) and I will give him the morning star. Rev 2:28
IX. He who has an ear, Rev 2:29
A. let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
X. And to the angel of the church in Sardis Write, Rev 3:1
A. These things says He
1. who has the seven Spirits of God
2. and the seven stars:
B. I know
1. your works,
2. that you have a name that you are alive
3. but you are dead
C. Be Rev 3:2
1. watchful
2. and strengthen the things which remain
a. that are ready to die
D. for I have not found your works perfect before God.
E. Remember therefore Rev 3:3
1. how you have
a. received
b. and heard;
2. hold fast
3. and repent.
F. Therefore
1. if you will not watch,
a. I will come upon you as a thief,
b. and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.
G. You have Rev 3:4
1. a few names even in Sardis
a. who have not defiled their garments;
b. and they shall
(1) walk with Me in white
(2) for they are worthy.
H. He who overcomes Rev 3:5
1. shall be clothed in white garments
2. and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life
3. but I will confess his name
a. before My Father
b. and before His angels.
XI. He who has an ear, Rev 3:6
A. let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
XII. And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, Rev 3:7
A. These things says
1. He who is holy,
2. He who is true,
3. He who has the key of David,
4. He who
a. opens and no one shuts
b. and shuts and no one opens:
B. I know your works. Rev 3:8
C. I have set before you an open door,
1. and no one can shut it;
a. for you have a little strength
b. have kept My word
c. and have not denied My name.
D. Indeed I will make Rev 3:9
1. those of the synagogue of Satan,
a. who say they are Jews
(1) and are not,
(2) but lie --
b. indeed I will make them
(1) come
(2) and worship before your feet,
(3) and to know that I have loved you.
E. Because you have Kept My command to perserve, Rev 3:10
1. I also will keep you from the hour of trial
a. which shall come upon the whole world,
b. to test those who dwell on the earth.
F. Behold, Rev 3:11
1. I am coming quickly!
2. Hold fast what you have,
3. that no one may take your crown.
XIII. He who overcomes, Rev 3:12
A. I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God,
B. and he shall go out no more.
C. I will write on him
1. the name of My God
2. and the name of the city of My God,
a. the New Jerusalem
(1) which comes down out of heaven
(2) from My God.
D. And I will write on him My new name.
XIV. He who has an ear, Rev 3:13
A. Let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
XV. And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, Rev 3:14
A. These things says
1. the Amen,
2. the Faithful and True Witness,
3. the Beginning of the creation of God:
B. I know your works, Rev 3:15
1. that you are neither
a. cold
b. nor hot.
2. I could wish that you were
a. cold
b. or hot.
C. So then, because you are lukewarm, Rev 3:16
1. neither
a. cold
b. nor hot
D. I will vomit you out of My mouth.
E. Because you say, Rev 3:17
1. I am rich
2. have become wealthy,
3. and have need of nothing'
F. and do not know that you are
1. wretched,
2. miserable,
3. poor,
4. blind,
5. and naked--
G. I counsel you to buy from Me Rev 3:18
1. gold refined in the fire,
a. that you may be rich;
2. and white garments,
a. that you may be clothed,
b. that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed;
3. and anoint your eyes with eye salve,
a. that you may see.
H. As many as I love, Rev 3:19
1. I rebuke
2. and chasten.
I. Therefore
1. be zealous
2. and repent.
XVI. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. Rev 3:20
A. If anyone hears My voice
1. and opens the door,
a. I will
(1) come in to him
(2) and dine with him,
(3) and he with Me.
XVII. To him who overcomes Rev 3:21
A. I will grant to sit
1. with Me
2. on My throne
B. As I also overcame
1. and sat down
a. with My Father
b. on His throne.
XVIII.He who has an ear, Rev 3:22
A. let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
